Hi my name is Austin and I am the 2018-2019 AmeriCorps Green Business Outreach Coordinator. I have lived in Vancouver, Washington for most of my life and it is good to be home again. Having just graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington –Seattle, I am happy to be assisting the Clark County Green Business program's outreach effort so that we can make sustainable business practices more widespread in Clark County. 

While working for AmeriCorps and Clark Public Health I hope to not only provide support and education to businesses and people within the community, but also to learn new skills and become more educated on the topic of sustainability. My career plans for after I finish my AmeriCorps term is to work with local government and nonprofits before I go and obtain my master's degree. 

When not working at Clark Public Health I enjoy hiking around the Pacific NW and recently hiked at both Mount Rainier and Glacier National Park. The next locations on my list are Northern Cascades National Park and Crater Lake. I am also an avid reader of nonfiction, particularly history and politics because there is so much to learn out there.
